What is Manuka Honey?
Manuka honey is not your ordinary honey. While all honeys contain hydrogen peroxide, manuka honey is unique for its powerful, naturally occurring antibacterial and anti-inflammatory compounds — making it a sought-after superfood.
Produced mainly in New Zealand, manuka honey comes from the nectar of the Leptospermum scoparium plant, known as the mānuka bush. Though similar plants exist in Australia, New Zealand's unique climate and soil are key to producing this exceptionally potent honey.
The result? A rich, thick, dark honey with earthy undertones and a slightly jelly-like texture that reflects its natural complexity and quality.
